AUTOMORPHING BETWEEN TWO AMP/FX PATHS

Using the Panner block, you can morph between two Amp/FX paths to achieve anything from pulsating sci-fi tones to slowly-evolving ambient pads.

1. Create a patch with two parallel paths.

Assign your two sounds to each path. You could, for example, slowly morph back and forth between two different chorused particle verbs for lush shoegaze trippiness, quickly jump back and forth between an octave up and octave down, or automatically switch between a driven Treadplate and clean Class A amp model every measure (you know, for Mr. Bungle ADHD-type tracks).

2. On the mixer block, make sure PAN A and PAN B are both set to 0%.

3. Place the Panner model right at the beginning split point of the two parallel paths.

4. Highlight the Panner model block and double-press MOVE. Set:
  1. SPEED to however fast you want the transition to take place (either in Hz or note value)
  2. DEPTH to 100%
  3. SHAPE to how smooth you want the transition to take place (Sine is the smoothest, Square switches instantly, Triangle is somewhere in between)
  4. VOLUME SENS to 0%
  5. MIX to 100%
5. Press VIEW to return to the main page.
